DEPARTURE
Mexico CityWe leave for Mexico City. Upon arrival, your group will be greeted by your guide and driver. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the city on the way to the hotel. Unwind in the evening with your fellow pilgrims in Mexico City.
TLATELOLCO - OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE - TEPEYAC HILL
Mexico CityThis morning we begin by visiting the Church of Santiago Tlatelolco where Juan Diego was baptized. Then we headed to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe. After Mass, we will join our fellow pilgrims in front of the "Tilma", where the image of Our Lady was miraculously imprinted. Next, we headed to Tepeyac Hill, the site where Juan Diego met the Virgin of Guadalupe in December 1531, and received the iconic image of the Lady of Guadalupe.
TULPETLAC - TEOTIHUACAN
Mexico CityWe begin our day with a stop in Tulpetlac, where the Blessed Virgin Mary of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Bernardino, Juan Diego's uncle. We continue to Teotihuacan, to visit the amazing pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Later, we will also tour the Botanical Gardens. Located next to the Pyramid of the Sun, you will find the endemic vegetation of the area, such as nopales, avocados, figs, limes and aloe.
TLAXCALA
Mexico CityToday we leave for Tlaxcala to visit the San Miguel Arcángel Sanctuary. Later in the afternoon, we will also have time to shop for souvenirs at the outdoor market. Enjoy a relaxing evening with your fellow pilgrims.
CUERNAVACA - TAXCO
Mexico CityToday we start early and head to Cuernavaca to visit the Palace of Cortés and the Cuernavaca Cathedral, built in a grand, fortress-like style. Then, we end our day with a visit to Taxco and the beautiful Plaza de Santa Prisca.
XOCHIMILCO - COYOACAN
Mexico CityWe head to the Xochimilco canals, the last vestiges of a vast water transportation system built by the Aztecs. You'll see the colorful gondola-shaped boats as vendors, artisans, and mariachi bands float by. We will also visit the Franciscan Monastery of San Bernardino di Siena. Then, we go to Coyoacán to visit the Chapel of Santa Caterina and the Church of San Juan Bautista.
MAIN TEMPLE - NATIONAL PALACE - METROPOLITAN CATHEDRAL
Mexico CityThis morning we begin by visiting the Church of La Sagrada Familia which houses the remains of Fr. Miguel Agustín Pro and the museum dedicated to this important martyr. We will also visit the National Palace, the Templo Mayor, the Zócalo and the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow pilgrims in Mexico City.
DEPARTURE
Mexico CityWe board our flight home. This concludes our services, thank you for traveling with Holy Travel.
